Alena Miles

I grew up in Russia and spent some time in the US as a teenager. When I was 17, I came to Australia and fell in love with the people, the nature and the food. I’ve been living here ever since.

Since I was very young, I knew I needed exercise to manage my perfectionist tendencies. Yet I found a lot of exercise transactional, boring and a chore. When I found yoga, it felt like coming home. I became stronger and more flexible. More importantly, I became calmer, kinder and more at peace with myself and the world. Since completing my teacher training, teaching yoga and sharing my passion for it with has been a huge source of joy in my life. 

I have a gorgeous husband, an even more gorgeous five year old and an old fluffy cat. When I’m not in downward facing dog, you can find me hanging out with the family, baking brownies or reading a good book.
