“To me, Yoga is a total journey of self-discovery and the pure essence of who we are”.

Lisa Rippon

Lisa commenced Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in 2002. A daily practice gradually led to a three-year apprenticeship.

Lisa’s love for yoga has seen her move away from the corporate world to concentrate on her yoga teaching and her passion for passing on this beautiful practice.

She teaches from the heart, with patience and encouragement and hopes to pass on to others the mental calmness and clarity that yoga has given her, in addition to the physical benefits of a regular asana practice.

Over the years, Lisa has attended many workshops run by senior Ashtanga Yoga teachers including Sharath, Dena Kingsberg, John Scott, Gregor Maehle and Graeme and Leonie Northfield.

Lisa brings warmth, lightness and a sense of connection to her classes. Her hope is that her students have a steady practice and take a good feeling into their day.  She encourages students to practise “Ahimsa” which is Sanskrit for kindness and compassion. In the asana practice this means looking after your body and growing into the postures by not pushing. By practising Ahimsa in the yoga room, these qualities can be shared outside by being kind and compassionate to others.
